Today’s exercise is a variation on mindfulness, called Opposite Day. It may seem a little silly at first, but it’s a great way to work on our perception and awareness of our physical bodies.
What we’re going to do is pick something from your daily routine (brushing your teeth, eating cereal — whatever you want) and mirror it. If you normally eat with your right hand, use your left.
Do you best to perform the activity EXACTLY as you would with your dominant hand. You may need to switch back to your normal way of doing the activity several times throughout the process. This will give you a feel for the correct technique and give you feedback on your progress.
